Vergeet mij niet gala

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, we are honoured to be part of the very first edition of the Vergeet Mij Niet Gala at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. The initiative was founded by our colleague and friend, chef Marc van Gulick, whose wife is living with dementia.

Because we know Marc personally, the impact of dementia feels particularly close to home. Through the Alliance Gastronomique, of which we are also members, several restaurants are joining forces for an evening dedicated entirely to dementia, with special attention to young-onset dementia.

We are therefore especially proud to contribute to this meaningful evening from De Treeswijkhoeve. Dick, Franke and Matts will join fellow Michelin-starred chefs from across the Netherlands to prepare a five-course dinner, raising both awareness and funds for Alzheimer Nederland. The proceeds will support research, guidance and greater awareness around dementia.

For us, this evening is about much more than gastronomy. It is about coming together, sharing memories and making a difference for people and families who face dementia every day.
